The 2026 Heart Health Gala will be taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Join us in supporting cardiovascular care in the Caribbean
Join the Canada Caribbean Heart Health Education (CCHHE) as we cooperate and collaborate with other Caribbean community organizations in Canada and Internationally to promote cardiovascular health at our fundraising gala dinner!
The Caribbean Canada Heart Health Education (CCHHE) annual Heart Health Gala is more than just an annual celebration — it’s a vital lifeline for communities across the Caribbean. Since its inception, our mission is to actively promote cardiovascular health in Canada and in the Caribbean through education, access, and advocacy. With proceeds from past galas, we’ve awarded seven scholarships to students pursuing health sciences in Canada and the gala has raised funds to support the delivery of life-saving medical equipment and supplies to countries including Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, and St. Vincent.
Each year, we also bring together experts from across the Caribbean and Canada to share their insights, innovations, and stories. Past guest speakers have included esteemed leaders such as:
-
Dr. Henry Steward – Caribbean Cardiac Society, Curaçao
-
Dr. Karen Gordon-Boyle – Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Guyana
-
Dr. Charles Greenidge – General Surgeon, St. Lucia
-
Dr. Grant Pierce – Executive Director, Albrechtsen Research Centre, Canada
-
Dr. Gavin Oudit – Professor, University of Alberta, sharing his journey from Guyana to Canada
Together, these voices and your support make a difference — one heart, one community at a time.
In collaboration with International Hope Canada, funds raised at this event will specifically go towards sending medical supplies to support the people of the Caribbean, and provide funds to support CCHHE’s scholarship program.
Gala registration form can be found at the bottom of this page.
