Dr. Shuangbo Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba and an interventional cardiologist at St. Boniface Hospital. She is also cross appointed in the College of Community and Global Health. Dr. Liu is also the Medical Director of the Manitoba Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Network and the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Research Group. She is a clinician–scientist with research interests focused on ACS and women’s heart health.
Dr. Liu obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Manitoba, where she also completed her training in Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology. In 2017, she pursued subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. She returned to Winnipeg in 2020 to join the St. Boniface Hospital and University of Manitoba as faculty.
Her work aims to advance equitable, high-quality cardiovascular care through clinical innovation, research, and collaboration across Manitoba and beyond.
